OCCUPATION: I work as a human resources manager at Cellusuede Products, Inc. I returned to work after my youngest went to kindergarten. In my spare time, I work as an assistant to a pathology doctor doing autopsies.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:
I am a 1993 graduate of Boylan High School, I went to Rock Valley College. I finished my degree at Oakland Community College in Rochester, Michigan, where I lived for 12 years.

I BELONG TO:
Rockton Lions Club and am hoping to get more involved in community organizations.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU LIVED IN ROCKTON:
I moved to Rockton from Michigan in 2008. We sought out this area for the wonderful school systems, great community, and outdoor recreation paths near our home.

I RAN FOR PUBLIC OFFICE BECAUSE: I want to be a voice for the blue collar, everyday person.   My friend had a zoning issue with the Village a few years ago and I became very interested in her story. I wanted to find out rules and stipulations so I can help people stay in this community.

MY FAVORITE PLACE IN ROCKTON IS: Anywhere in downtown Rockton and the Hononegah Forest Preserve.

MY FAVORITE BOOK/MOVIE/ALBUM/T.V. SHOW ARE: I read health and running magazines but I mostly like to relax watching food network, discovery channel and reality television.

THE THING I LIKE MOST ABOUT ROCKTON IS: I love the “small town community feel”. I love that my three children can ride their bikes in downtown or on the bike path and I feel like they are going to be safe. Because the community is so tight knit, I like that I have extra eyes that will tell me that they have seen my children at The Mix or The Park. It truly does take a village.
