Drinking Water Division

The Village of Rockton Water Department is an integral part of our Public Works program and is tasked with the daily operation and maintenance of our community water supply. The fundamental mission of the Water Department is to provide a safe and consistent source of drinking water to our community.

The operations of the Water Department are overseen by both the Director and Superintendent of Public Works, while daily operations, including the testing and treating of water, are handled by our Responsible Operator In Charge (ROINC). These individuals are licensed by and report to the Illinois EPA.
