Trustee Jamin Unger works as a project manager/estimator for Scandroli Construction. He graduated from Sycamore High School in 1995 and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) in 2000. Prior to running for trustee, he served as treasurer for the Hononegah Booster Club. He moved to Rockton in 2013, but he has lived in the area since 2001. He ran for public office in 2023 and came up just short. In the interim, he was appointed to the Village Planning Commission and was elected vice chair. He grew to enjoy his time on the Planning Commission and wanted to become even more involved. He enjoys Downtown Rockton the most, and he and his friends enjoy coming downtown for various events throughout the year.  He enjoys the Rock River and feels the bonus of having a beautiful river run through our community should be better utilized with future planning.
